Infant/Toddler Center Teachers

Connie Morris

Connie Morris has been with Freedom Christian Academy for 9 years and spends her day with the littlest of our kiddos as our Infant A teacher.  She and her late husband have five adult sons, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.  Connie is a member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church and helps in the fourth grade Sunday school class.  In her spare time, she enjoys watching Hallmark movies and spending time with her family.   Her favorite thing about working at FCA is getting to love on the babies and the sweet hugs she receives.

Tammie Brackett

Tammie is the lead teacher of our mobile infants age group. She has been married for 36 years. She is the mother of 4 and the grandmother of 5. Mrs. Tammie was an active stay at home mom while her children were in school; class mom and President of the PTA! Once her children were older she began working at Baptist Hospital on the orthopedic floor. She enjoyed helping, nurturing and meeting new people. She later transitioned to working in childcare as a co-teacher working with the new walkers! Mrs. Tammie has a Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance Certificate and is CPR certified. She briefly studied Medical Billing before returning to child care where she was top of her class. Mrs. Tammie loves working at Freedom because she enjoys watching the children learn and grow. She is able to create a bond and trust with parents and families. Mrs. Tammie cherishes the sweet hugs from her little ones each day!

Sherry Kowalski

Sherry is the longest serving member of our Infant/Toddler Center team and previously taught at the Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church daycare program.  She received her Infant/Toddler CDA from Roane State and currently teaches our Toddler 1A class.  She is married with two adult sons and is a member of Riverview Baptist Church, where she volunteers with the seniors ministry. In her spare time, Sherry enjoys reading, raising orchids, going to the mountains, and spending time with her family.  Her favorite part about working with toddlers is watching the children grow in their social skills.   Sherry’s goals for the 2019-2020 school year are to show Christ through caring for the toddlers in her class and to have fun while providing a nurturing, learning environment.

Jennifer Coker

Jennifer Coker is new to Freedom this year, and is a teacher in our Toddler B class.   She and her husband have a 13 year-old son and they attend Truthway Baptist Church in Claxton.  In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys crafting and spending time with her family.  Since starting at Freedom, she has enjoyed meeting the families and teaching her class new things.

Amy Davis

Amy Davis is the teacher in our 2 year old class and is another new face at Freedom.  She is married and has one daughter.  Amy and her family attend the South Knoxville Worship Center, where she helps in the youth worship band.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and plays French horn in a community band.
