An educator for the past 25 years, Cheryl is now serving her fifth year at Freedom and teaches our K3 class. She holds a B.S., an M.S., and an Ed.S. degree and is the mother to four children. She is a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church in Mascot, Tennessee, and has served in the children’s department and at special events.
After graduating from Johnson Bible College with a B.S. degree in interdisciplinary studies and an M.A. in holistic education, JC joined our faculty and is now in her fourth year teaching K4 at FCA. She serves as our volleyball coach and assistant girls’ basketball coach. She and her husband, Richard, are members of Cornerstone Christian Church, where JC serves in children’s church and the nursery. Their son, Malachi, is a K3 student at Freedom , and their daughter, Macie, is a student in our Infant/Toddler Center.
After graduating from Tennessee Technological University with a B.S. in elementary education, Brittney joined our faculty as fifth grade teacher, where she served for five years. This is her second year teaching kindergarten (K5). She serves as a yearbook sponsor at Freedom, and she works in Sunday School outreach and with the youth at her church, Fairview Baptist. Brittney and her husband, Max, recently welcomed their son, Blaine Lucas, to their family.
Amanda graduated from Johnson University with a B.S. in education K-8 and an M.A. in interdisciplinary skills. She has taught first grade at Freedom since 2009, and currently serves as sponsor of our Lego Club. She also teaches for a company that specializes in STEAM education with the use of Lego bricks, and she judges the State First Lego League competition in Cookeville, TN. Amanda and her husband, Dustin, have three children, Ainsley, Paxton, and Beckett. Ainsley is in second grade and Paxton is in K4 at FCA. They are members of Fairview Baptist Church in Corryton, Tennessee.
A graduate of Tennessee Technological University with a bachelor’s degree, Hannah is now in her seventh year of teaching 2nd grade at Freedom. She serves as a yearbook sponsor here, and she serves in the one-year-old class at her home church, Fairview Baptist.
Katie has taught at Freedom for seven years. She holds a B.S. in holistic education and an M.A. in elementary education from Johnson University. She and her husband, Justin, have one daughter, Harper, who is a K4 student at Freedom. They are members of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church, where Katie serves in the preschool ministry.
JoAnn earned a B.S. from Carson Newman College, has served in Christian schools for 17 years, and has taught at Freedom for ten years. She has two daughters, Andrea and Lydia, who attend Freedom. JoAnn enjoys serving in the Fusion Bible Fellowship class at Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church, and she leads the “sticks” worship ministry at Freedom. She is also our Lady Flames basketball coach.
Julie graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary studies and has taught at Freedom for seven years. At her home church, Arlington Baptist Church, Julie serves as college ministry director and on the nursery committee. Julie and her husband, Ben, have three sons. Their oldest, Levi, is a K5 student at Freedom. As an integral part of our team, Julie manages our various technology programs and devices.
This is Amanda’s seventh year teaching sixth grade at Freedom. She holds a bachelor’s degree from ETSU, and she earned a master’s degree as a reading specialist from Carson-Newman University. Amanda serves as a yearbook advisor and has a son, Zeke, who is in K5 at Freedom. She also has two daughters, Brylee and Belle, who are both under the age of two. Amanda and her husband, Clabe, are members of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where Amanda serves as creative ministry leader and in the nursery and VBS.
An educator for over 40 years, Lynn has been teaching physical education at FCA for five years. He graduated from Lincoln Memorial University with a B.S. in physical and health education. Lynn teaches Sunday School at his home church, Union Baptist.
